To show you how loaded this year's class was, these guys didn't make it - Russ Grimm, Dermonti Dawson, Ray Guy, Bob Kuechenberg, Richard Dent, Randall McDaniel, Randy Gradishar, Andre Reed, Derrick Thomas, Marshall Goldberg and Paul Tagliabue. Some tough votes were cast. I'd hate to have to pick one of these guys over the other. And it shows how hard it is for an o-lineman to make the Hall. No stats to flash, I suppose.
Week #1 - Tony Romo, whatta stud. 15-24, 345 yards, 5 TD's, only 1 pick. Chris Brown of Tennessee led his Titans past the Jags with 175 yards rushing on only 19 carries, 9.2/pop. I'll take Randall El over Moss, with 5 catches for 162 yards, altho Randy's 9-183 wasn't too shabby. On D, hats off to Nick Barnett. The Packer LB had 13 tackles and an interception as they beat the Iggles. |
